Jakarta — The Central Jakarta City Administration has distributed welfare assistance to hundreds of orphans, elderly residents, and persons with disabilities as an expression of social care, togetherness, and mutual cooperation during Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.

“This is part of our effort to bring blessings to the month of Ramadan,” said the Administrator of Central Jakarta, Arifin, in Jakarta on Friday.

According to him, assistance was distributed to 100 orphans, 100 persons with disabilities, and 100 elderly residents. The distribution ceremony was held at D’Arcici hall, West Cempaka Putih Street, Cempaka Putih District, Central Jakarta.

Arifin explained that the initiative was organised by Cempaka Putih District in partnership with several companies through their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes.

He also expressed his highest appreciation to all parties involved in the successful conduct of the event.

Arifin also provided information about Jakarta Provincial Government programmes available to Central Jakarta residents, particularly those in Cempaka Putih.

“These programmes include Ramadan Sharing, control of food prices and availability, free Transjakarta bus travel, Lebaran in Jakarta, and free travel assistance for those returning home,” he said.

Cempaka Putih District Head, Igan Muhammad Faisal, hoped that this activity would provide benefit and goodness during the final days of the sacred month of Ramadan.

“May this assistance be beneficial to all recipients and become our charity in celebrating the sacred month of Ramadan,” he said.
