Koba, Bangka Belitung (ANTARA) - The Central Bangka Regency Government in Bangka Belitung Province has bid farewell to 151 prospective Hajj pilgrims (calhaj) from the area, in a ceremony facilitated jointly with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

Central Bangka Regent Algafry Rahman in Koba on Friday stated that the local government routinely facilitates the departure of prospective Hajj pilgrims (CJH) each year to ensure their worship journey proceeds in an orderly, safe, and comfortable manner.

“Today, we from the Central Bangka Regency Government and Forkopimda are facilitating the send-off ceremony for 151 calhaj from this region who are beginning their journey to the Holy Land of Mecca,” said Algafry.

The 151 calhaj from Central Bangka are grouped in Kloter 8 and today began entering the Bangka Belitung Hajj dormitory, before being flown to Mecca via the Palembang embarkation point in South Sumatra on Saturday (2/4).

He reminded the prospective pilgrims to help one another and maintain solidarity, given that Hajj is a physically demanding worship that requires readiness and cooperation.

“I just conveyed to the prospective pilgrims to help each other and maintain togetherness, because this is physical worship that naturally requires mutual assistance for it to go smoothly,” he said.

Algafry also advised the pilgrims to remain within their respective flight groups (kloter) and not to scatter, to facilitate supervision and ensure safety.

“Do not scatter, stay gathered in one kloter, remind each other, and help one another,” he stated.

He also asked the pilgrims to focus on worship and not to think about other matters that could disrupt their devotion.

He hoped the pilgrims would pray for the government and the people of Central Bangka to always be granted health, blessings, and a safe and peaceful regional condition.

“Do not forget to pray for us to be given health and abundant sustenance to be able to perform Hajj, and pray for Central Bangka to become a safe and peaceful region,” said Algafry.
