Centipede halts Golkar rally

PADANG, West Sumatra: A centipede threw a Golkar Party rally
at APB Lubuk Basung soccer field into disarray on Wednesday.

The chaos was sparked by a scream for help from a supporter in
the crowd of several hundred people listening to a fiery speech
by a local party leader, Antara reported.

Curious about what might have caused the scream, people
jostled their way toward where the cry for help originated to
find out what happened.

Dozens of Golkar security guards also rushed to the scene,
police officers securing the campaign were put on alert and the
politician on stage stopped talking.

What happened was a man was terrified by a centipede crawling
on his foot.
