Celebrating the 80th Bhayangkara Day, Bogor Police Enliven CFD with Thousands of Residents

The Car Free Day (CFD) area on Jalan Tegar Beriman, Cibinong, suddenly transformed into a sea of energetic people on Sunday morning (14/06/2026). Thousands of Bogor Regency residents enthusiastically mingled with police personnel in a joint sports agenda marking the official opening of the Bhayangkara Fest series. The event, initiated by the Bogor Resort Police together with the Bogor Branch Bhayangkari, was held specifically to commemorate the 80th Bhayangkara Day. From 06.00 WIB, an atmosphere of togetherness and joy was immediately palpable as fitness instructors began guiding movements from the main stage. Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto stood in the front row, blending directly with housewives, youth communities, and other elements of society to follow the morning exercise together. This joint sports activity was deliberately chosen as the festival opener because it is considered the most effective means of dismantling bureaucratic barriers between law enforcement officers and the citizens they serve. ‘Through joint exercise in this CFD area, we want to build healthy bodies as well as fluid communication with the community. At this 80th Bhayangkara Day moment, the Bogor Police want to show that the police are an inseparable part of the citizens. When we are healthy together, we can also keep our environment safe together,’ said AKBP Wikha after the exercise session. The positive impact of the relaxed sports atmosphere immediately spilled over to other festival stands provided by the organisers. Thousands of residents who finished exercising promptly crowded various service areas, including the Sayur Berkah stand which provided five quintals of free fresh vegetables harvested by local farmers for the participating housewives to take home. Not only emphasising physical fitness, the post-exercise gathering momentum was optimally utilised by the Bogor Police to bring public services closer. A mobile driving licence outlet, SKCK services, a retro police motorcycle exhibition, and a free legal consultation post were packed with residents wanting to handle administrative matters while leisurely enjoying the remaining CFD time. The joint sports agenda and proactive public service are confirmed to return to the Cibinong CFD route in the following weeks throughout June, as a sustainable commitment by the Bogor Police to realise Smart Policing that is humanistic and beloved by the community.
