Celebrating Kartini Day and 63rd Anniversary, TASPEN Provides Educational Assistance to Orphanages

Marking its 63rd Anniversary (HUT) while celebrating Kartini Day, PT TASPEN (Persero) through the ‘Lentera Srikandi’ initiative handed over social assistance and learning facilities to more than 250 orphanage children spread across 13 cities in Indonesia.

TASPEN’s female leaders, often known as Srikandi women, directly engaged in providing education on preventing violence against children (stop bullying) and strengthening character for hundreds of orphanage children.

This action was reinforced by the presence of TASPEN’s female directors, including TASPEN’s Director of Human Resources and Information Technology, Ovita Susiana Rosya, at Insan Cita 165 Orphanage in Tanjung Pinang, as well as TASPEN’s Director of Compliance and Risk Management, Diyantini Soesilowati, at Peduli Kasih KNDJH Orphanage in Malang, on Wednesday (22/4/2026).

TASPEN’s Corporate Secretary, Henra, stated that Lentera Srikandi represents the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable social values to society. The involvement of these Srikandi women from managerial levels to Branch Managers symbolises empathetic and solution-oriented female leadership for the nation’s young generation.

“Through Lentera Srikandi, TASPEN aims to provide more than just financial assistance. Through the presence of TASPEN’s Srikandi women, we bring messages of courage and self-confidence to the orphanage children. TASPEN believes that character education, such as understanding stop bullying and gender equality, is essential preparation for them to become a resilient golden generation,” said Henra.

In addition to distributing basic needs, learning tools, and orphanage infrastructure, the event also featured interactive sharing sessions. The materials presented covered early education on the dangers of bullying and practical steps to address it.

Through this interaction, TASPEN’s Srikandi women motivated the children to dare to dream despite limitations, while instilling values of mutual respect and the principle of equality for every individual.

This momentum is part of the series of events commemorating TASPEN’s 63rd HUT, continuing various social and educational initiatives that have been consistently implemented every year. In the previous year’s 62nd anniversary commemoration, TASPEN through the ‘Cerita Ibu Srikandi TASPEN untuk Anak Indonesia’ programme.

The event featured inspirational activities in the form of motivational storybook reading sessions for early childhood and kindergarten children at 17 Branch Offices. The continuity of this series of activities reflects TASPEN’s commitment to providing sustainable benefits to society.
