Celebrating Independence, Pertamina Patra Niaga Gives Away Dozens of Motorcycles to Online Motorcycle Taxi Drivers
Pertamina Patra Niaga conducted the draw for the second period of the Berkah Ojek Online MyPertamina (BOOM) programme, coinciding with the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s independence. The draw took place alongside the MyPertamina Pasar Rakyat 2026 event at Hutan Kota GBK, Jakarta.
The BOOM programme offers a total of 100 motorcycles as appreciation for online motorcycle taxi driver partners. After 25 Yamaha Lexi 155 units were drawn in Period 1, 25 units of the 2025 Honda Vario 160 Type Standard On the Road were drawn for BOOM Period 2 participants. A further 50 motorcycles will be drawn in the next period.
Throughout Period 2, which ran from 1 May to 31 July 2026, a total of 5,215 online motorcycle taxi driver partners from various platforms such as Gojek, Grab, inDrive, and Maxim participated. During this period, 251,393 draw coupons were recorded as ready to be drawn.
Pertamina Patra Niaga’s President Director, Mars Ega Legowo Putra, attended the BOOM Period 2 draw. He said the independence commemoration was an opportunity to share happiness while showing appreciation to online motorcycle taxi driver partners who help maintain public mobility every day.
“We want to celebrate and give thanks for independence together with the public and our customers, especially online motorcycle taxi partners. They are part of people’s daily lives, so through this programme we want to show our appreciation to them,” said Mars Ega, quoted from his statement on Tuesday, 18 August 2026.
Meanwhile, VP Corporate Communication of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, explained that motorcycles were chosen as prizes because they are relevant to the daily lives of online motorcycle taxi partners who rely on vehicles to work and earn a living every day.
“Motorcycles are the mainstay of online motorcycle taxi partners in earning a living and serving the public. Therefore, we hope the BOOM Programme provides benefits that support their daily activities. Every transaction and point collected through MyPertamina opens up the opportunity to receive these prizes,” Kitty explained.
Enthusiasm for the BOOM programme was felt by Daniar, a Grab driver partner who came from Jatinegara to watch the draw in person. For Daniar, the motorcycle prize is very useful because vehicles are the main tool used by online motorcycle taxi drivers every day.
