Celebrating Independence Day, This Airline Discounts Flight Tickets by Up to 45%

There is good news for people wishing to travel during the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. A flight ticket promotion is available with discounts of up to 45% for domestic and international routes, with a value reaching Rp2 million.

The ticket promotion is available for return ticket purchases on 16-18 August 2026. Meanwhile, the travel period applies from 17 August and 1 September to 24 October 2026. This promotion can be utilised through the Pelita Air website and application.

‘We believe that improved connectivity will have a positive impact on tourism growth, business activity, and the economy in various regions,’ said Pelita Air President Director Faik Fahmi in a statement on Thursday (13/8/2026).

He assessed that the independence momentum can be used to encourage the public to travel more actively, whether for holidays or other activities. Through this promotion, air travel access is expected to become more easily accessible to the public.

‘Independence is a momentum to keep moving forward and connecting with one another. Through the Merdeka Surprice promotion, Pelita Air wants to provide increasingly affordable air travel access so that more people can enjoy a safe and comfortable flying experience,’ said Faik.

The increase in public mobility does not only impact the transport sector. Public travel is also linked to tourism, business, investment, and the creative economy.

‘Not only connecting cities, but also connecting various opportunities, from the tourism sector, investment, to creative economy activities. We hope this promotion can be a form of appreciation to the public while also encouraging national economic growth through increased mobility,’ said Faik.

In addition to the special price, passengers also still receive a number of flight facilities. Each flight includes complimentary meals during the journey, or Meals on Board. Passengers also receive checked baggage of up to 20 kilogrammes and cabin baggage of a maximum of 7 kilogrammes.
