Celebrating 53rd Anniversary Peak, ASDP's Performance Continues to Grow with Sustainable Impact Services
PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) marked the commemoration of its 53rd Birthday through the peak activity of the ASDP Charity Run held at the ASDP Head Office on Sunday (10/5/2026). Far from being just a sports and camaraderie event, this activity reflects the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable impacts for society, the environment, and national transportation services.
This year’s anniversary milestone serves as a reflection on ASDP’s journey in facing the increasingly dynamic challenges of the ferry transportation industry. Amid operational complexities and high national mobility, safety remains the company’s top priority.
Throughout 2025, ASDP still faced several maritime incidents, ranging from accidents, ship groundings, to ship collisions. Nevertheless, the company succeeded in keeping the ship accident rate at 0.220 percent, better than the company’s target of 0.230 percent, with a total of five ship accidents throughout the year.
ASDP’s President Director, Heru Widodo, emphasised that safety must become a work culture ingrained in every operational process of the company. “Safety must not be considered complete. It must become collective awareness and the top priority in every line of our service and operations. Through this 53rd anniversary, we want to strengthen the spirit that ASDP is not only present to connect inter-islands but also to bring real benefits to society,” said Heru.
As part of the ASDP Berdampak spirit, the funds from the Charity Run activity are allocated for various social and environmental programmes, including life jacket assistance to support maritime safety, aid for orphanages, and mangrove planting programmes as efforts for environmental conservation and sustainable development.
Strengthen Role
On the other hand, ASDP continues to strengthen its role as a connector of the archipelago regions, especially disadvantaged, frontier, outermost, and border areas (3TP). By the end of 2025, ASDP’s pioneering ferry services recorded more than 93,000 trips, a growth of 11 percent compared to the previous year, exceeding the company’s target.
Vehicle transportation also increased by 15 percent to more than 556,000 units. This achievement affirms ASDP’s strategic role not only as a transportation operator but also as a binder of connectivity and driver of the national economy.
Positive performance is also reflected in the company’s service and financial aspects. Customer satisfaction reached a score of 3.34 out of a scale of 4, supported by strengthened digital services, officer competency, and increasingly reliable operations. During the Eid and New Year transportation periods, ASDP also received appreciation for better and more integrated ferry service management.
Meanwhile, on the corporate side, ASDP recorded business revenue of Rp4.96 trillion and consolidated profit of Rp285.4 billion by the end of 2025. This achievement shows that ASDP continues to grow as a healthy, adaptive company that remains oriented towards public service.
ASDP Corporate Secretary, Windy Andale, added that the spirit of the 53rd anniversary serves as a reminder for all company personnel to continue strengthening the culture of service, safety, and security sustainably.
“Through the ASDP Berdampak spirit, we want to ensure that every service provided is not only reliable and safe but also adds value for society and Indonesia’s future,” concluded Windy.
