Ceka books $7.2m profit
JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia's only speciality fat maker, the publicly listed Cahaya Kalbar (Ceka) posted a Rp 17 billion (US$7.2 million) net profit last year.
The result was built on net sales of Rp 100 billion.
Ceka expects its net profit to rise 68 percent to Rp 28 billion and its net sales 52 percent to Rp 152 billion this year.
Next year, the company expects a Rp 37 billion net profit and net sales of Rp 193 billion.
The company said it expects demand for specialty fat to rise until 2000.
To meet growing demand Ceka will gradually increase production from 12,200 tons of specialty fat and 12,800 tons of cocoa grinding fat to 26,000 tons and 20,000 tons by 1998. (bnt)
