CD for crash victims
SINGAPORE (DPA): Two Singapore musicians are releasing a
compact disc of songs to commemorate those killed in a plane
crash that stunned the tiny island nation last year, reports said
yesterday.
The CD features songs such as End of the Road, which has
lyrics penned by a 15-year-old girl who lost three of her school
teachers in the crash.
The work is dedicated to the victims of Singapore's SilkAir
flight 185, which nose-dived into an Indonesian river en route
from Jakarta to Singapore on Dec. 19.
All 104 passengers and crew on the Boeing 737 died. The cause
of the crash is still unknown.
Proceeds from sales of the CD, titled Missing You ... 185, are
to be donated to Singapore's Assisi Home and Hospice and
Germany's Mayday, an organization which helps the families of
pilots killed in the line of duty.
