The home has now transformed into the centre of digital activity for Indonesian society. The development of artificial intelligence (AI), the rise of digital entertainment consumption, and the increasing number of activities conducted from home are beginning to change the standard of internet needs in Indonesia. This change aligns with the high national internet penetration, which reached 81.72 per cent or approximately 235 million users based on a 2026 APJII survey. This shift is also altering public expectations of the internet, from a previous focus on connection speed to a need for a more comprehensive digital experience. CBN Commerce Director Dedy Handoko stated that going forward, the internet will no longer be determined solely by connection speed, but by the ability to deliver an integrated digital lifestyle experience. ‘Seeing these changes, our retail service, CBN Fiber, is introducing the All-in-One Home Connected concept, a new approach that integrates fast internet connectivity, enjoyable entertainment, digital security, and artificial intelligence-based customer service in one comprehensive, practical, and affordable service,’ he said. The wave of AI adoption is projected to be one of the factors that will drive the increased need for fast internet connectivity in Indonesia in the coming years. CBN has anticipated this and has been a pioneer of home internet services up to 1 Gbps for a decade. Now, CBN is expanding public access to high-speed home internet through service package options from 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps unlimited (without Fair Usage Policy/FUP) with prices starting from Rp199,000 per month. Beyond connectivity, the shift in public content consumption patterns, which increasingly prioritise short and flexible formats, is also driving the birth of new entertainment formats. Responding to this trend, CBN Fiber provides exclusive access to DramaHits, a new micro-drama application from Digdaya Duta Digital that customers can enjoy at no additional cost. The presence of DramaHits complements the previously available digital entertainment bundling, namely Dens TV, Vidio, Vision+, Genflix, CubMu, and ShortBite. Digital security has also become one of the primary needs of Indonesian households. The increase in online activity is accompanied by various cyber threat risks, such as phishing, malware, ransomware, and identity theft, which can impact user data and financial security. Therefore, CBN Fiber complements its service with digital protection through Trend Micro, which helps protect customer devices from various cyber threats, as well as Cyber Protection Insurance from AON and Chubb as additional protection against the risk of online fraud. CBN is also strengthening the customer experience through AI-based after-sales service supported by AI Rudder. This technology allows customers to obtain faster, more responsive, and easily accessible service support, ranging from service information and customer status checks to more efficient initial troubleshooting. ‘With this first All-in-One Home Connected service in Indonesia, CBN is committed to delivering the latest service innovations to provide a comprehensive digital experience that meets the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s society,’ concluded Dedy.
