Caution: Traffic Diversion on Padang-Sicincin Toll Road Next Monday
Jakarta – Toll road users who frequently travel the Padang-Sicincin stretch are advised to prepare for disruptions.
From Monday next (02 March 2026), PT Hutama Karya (Persero) will implement traffic management measures at KM 18+998 to accommodate the installation of a bridge girder (erection girder) on the Lubuk Alung Interchange project.
This measure is predicted to alter travel patterns for residents using the Padang and Kapalo Hilalang toll gates, particularly during productive hours from 09:00 to 15:00 WIB.
Given the risks posed by heavy equipment and material loads traversing the roadway, Hutama Karya has decided to implement traffic diversions to ensure the safety of road users.
Vice President of Corporate Communications at Hutama Karya, Rizki Dana, confirmed that cross-sectoral coordination has been undertaken to minimise disruption on the ground.
“This traffic management measure is a mitigation step to ensure the safety of road users while the work is ongoing. We have coordinated with the West Sumatra Regional Police Traffic Directorate, Padang Pariaman Police Traffic Unit, BPJN, and the Department of Transport,” Rizki stated in an official statement on Sunday (01 March 2026).
During the working period of 2-3 March, there are two main schemes that motorists must observe.
“We apologise for this inconvenience. We urge road users to reduce speed in the vicinity of the work site, maintain safe distances, and comply with the instructions of officers,” Rizki added.
