Cause of death of a primary school child in Bandung Barat revealed: killed by his elder brother.

The cause of death of a child with initials ASA (12 years old) has finally been revealed. A sixth-grade pupil at SDN 1 Sukarame, Cipatat, Bandung Barat Regency (KBB), West Java, was killed by his own brother, with initials MZ (28). The child was found dead, bloodied, at his home in Kampung Warung Tiwu, RT 02/16, Cipatat Village, Cipatat District, Bandung Barat Regency (KBB), West Java on Tuesday (3 March 2026). The victim sustained multiple serious injuries from slashes with a sharp weapon. ‘Within 24 hours the perpetrator was secured by the Cimahi Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit together with the Cipatat Police in Cianjur,’ said Cimahi Police Chief AKBP Niko Nurallah Adi Putra when contacted, Wednesday (4 March 2026). Police are still examining the motive behind the brutal killing of his own younger brother. Using a machete-type sharp weapon, the perpetrator slit his throat and stabbed the back, even cutting the victim’s hands until he died. After that the perpetrator attempted to flee until he was captured in the Cianjur area. ‘For the motive, we are still investigating. The suspect took one mobile phone belonging to the victim and left the scene,’ said Niko.
