Caught with Mistress, Kupang DPRD Member Claims to Be a Gentleman

A member of the Kupang Regency DPRD, Hengky Febrianus Loden, described himself as a gentleman after being raided with his mistress in a rented house in Oebufu Ward, Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), in the early hours of Sunday (29/3) around 1:00 a.m. WITA. The raid involved his wife, Marce Pian, along with the Directorate of Criminal Investigation for Women and Children and Domestic Violence (PPA and PPO) of the NTT Regional Police. “The media is free to express opinions and write, but I have acted as a gentleman and apologised to my wife, children, and family,” Hengky told detikBali on Monday (30/3/2026). As the Chairman of the PBB Party’s Kupang Regency Branch, Hengky said he had also conveyed his apologies to his constituents and the public. “I have stated that as an ordinary human, I realise I have shortcomings and limitations,” said Hengky. He emphasised that in this case, he was only a witness, not a perpetrator. However, Hengky declined to elaborate further on the witness status. “So whoever wants to comment however, that’s their right and opinion. For now, I am a witness, not a perpetrator,” explained Hengky. According to him, to designate someone as a suspect, the police must have two sufficient pieces of evidence. In this case, Hengky claimed no evidence was found. “Yesterday they rummaged through the files with my BAP, today there is no evidence. Finally, they (the police) said Mr. Hengky should just repent,” revealed Hengky. “If the incident happened, yes, but this is a rule of law state. In principle, I am not allergic to reporting. Go ahead because the media has a duty to write without being silenced,” he concluded. Previously reported, the Kupang Regency DPRD member with initials HF was raided by NTT Regional Police officers while with his mistress in a rented house in Oebufu Ward, Kupang City, in the early hours of Sunday (29/3) around 1:00 a.m. WITA. “Yes, we from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation for PPA and PPO of the NTT Regional Police carried out that operation,” said the Director of Criminal Investigation for PPA and PPO of the NTT Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Nova Irone Surentu, to detikBali on Monday (30/3/2026). The raid stemmed from a complaint by HF’s wife regarding alleged infidelity. Following up on the report, the Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation for PPA and PPO of the NTT Regional Police, AKBP Samuel Simbolon, along with AKP Djafar Alkatiri and several personnel, moved to the location. Upon arrival at the scene, police secured the PBB politician along with a woman with initials SLR (37). Nova emphasised that the case handling is carried out professionally, prioritising humanitarian values, restorative justice, and protection for the family. “In cases like this, we don’t just talk about law enforcement, but also about how to heal the victim’s inner wounds, maintain family dignity, and present balanced justice for all parties,” explained Nova.
