Casualties from US attack on wedding in Iran reach 68
Tehran (ANTARA) - The Deputy Governor of Hormozgan, Ahmad Nafisi, stated that the number of casualties resulting from the United States attack on Iranian citizens celebrating a wedding in the region has surged to 68.
“The number of injured in the US military attack on a wedding ceremony in Kuhestak, Sirik, has increased to 68,” said Nafisi, as reported by the state news agency on Tuesday.
Previously, Nafisi had stated that the death toll from the attack in Kuhestak had reached four people.
Meanwhile, the head of the national security commission in the Iranian Parliament, Ebrahim Azizi, asserted that Iran will retaliate against the US for the attack carried out against the wedding in Hormozgan Province.
“The attack on a wedding ceremony and the killing of civilians in Kuhestak, Iran, is the clearest evidence of the desperation of fake human rights defenders and a repetition of their crimes in Minab and Lamerd,” Azizi stated via the social media platform X.
“Make no mistake, this crime will not be left unaddressed. No one will protect them from the steel determination of the Iranian Armed Forces,” he added.
