A total of 13 people were brought by investigators to the KPK’s Merah Putih building from the sting operation in Tulungagung Regency this time. Twelve are from the government sector and one from the private sector.

“The 13 people brought to Jakarta are the Regent, twelve from the Tulungagung Regency Government environment, and one other party,” Budi said.

Budi stated that the total of 13 secured individuals were brought to Jakarta in three batches. The first batch, Regent of Tulungagung Gatut Sunu Wibowo, arrived earlier, followed by 12 people in the second batch and one in the third batch arriving this afternoon.

Budi explained that the secured parties will immediately be examined by investigators. The KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the status of the secured parties.

“Next, these parties will undergo further examination at the KPK Merah Putih Building,” Budi clarified.

It is known that the KPK carried out a handcatch operation (OTT) in Tulungagung, East Java. In the OTT, the KPK netted the Regent of Tulungagung, Gatut Sunu Wibowo.

“It is true (OTT in Tulungagung),” said Deputy Chairman of the KPK Fitroh Rohcahyanto when contacted on Friday (10/4).

“Yes (the Regent has been secured),” he added.
