Case Files Transferred, AGO Confirms Expedited Handling of Three Corruption Cases Implicating Febrie Adriansyah

The Acting Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Rudi Margono, has affirmed the Attorney General’s Office’s commitment to accelerating the resolution of three corruption cases handled by the police. This statement was made upon receiving the transfer of the three cases as part of strengthening synergy between the Adhyaksa Corps and the Indonesian National Police. He stated that expediting case handling is a public expectation for legal certainty. “This afternoon, we formally accept the transfer of three cases today as a form of commitment to accelerate professionalism and synergy together. Because the fact is, the public is waiting for the resolution of the case,” he said on Saturday, 11 July 2026. He explained that inter-agency coordination would continue even though the handling of the cases has been handed over to the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes. This synergy is considered important to speed up the process of evidence gathering and case resolution. “What is synergised, the important thing is acceleration. First, to develop and maximise the evidence. Then, the physical evidence. And the most important thing is synergy. Today, even though it has been handed over to the Special Crimes prosecutor, we continue to coordinate with the Head of the Police’s Air and Marine Corps and his staff to ensure certainty in its resolution,” he said. He stressed that investigators will ensure all evidence and exhibits are thoroughly analysed, including their connection to the charges brought against the parties. “Of course, we as investigators, as the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, will ensure the existing evidence, the exhibits, and the measure of causality with what is being charged. More importantly, we continue to respect the principle of presumption of innocence,” he stated. On that occasion, he also revealed that investigators have named two suspects in the transferred cases. “Perhaps that is what I can convey. The information is that two suspects have been named. Namely, the formal one is a private individual, the second is from the legal profession, with the initial F (Febrie Adriansyah).
