Investigators from Sub-unit IV of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) transferred four suspects to the Banyuasin District Attorney’s Office this afternoon after the case files were declared complete (P-21).

“On Thursday, 4 June 2026, the transfer of suspects and evidence (Phase II) for the four suspects was carried out,” stated the Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, in a statement on Thursday.

The four suspects have been identified as Abiyu Bima Ayatullah, Andi Yuni Yansyah, Nando Saputra, and Ade Kurniawan. In addition to the suspects, the investigative team also surrendered several crucial pieces of evidence believed to have been used or obtained from the narcotics distribution network. The evidence includes 30 clear plastic bags featuring an elephant logo containing white crystals suspected to be methamphetamine (remaining portion for laboratory testing) with a net weight of 29.0248 grams, two cars, and five mobile phones used for communication by the suspects.

The Phase II transfer of suspects and evidence took place directly at the Banyuable District Attorney’s Office in South Sumatra. Following the handover, the legal proceedings against the suspects will proceed to court.

Chronology of the Disclosure

Previously reported, the Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri dismantled a narcotics network in the Banyuasin area, South Sumatra. During the operation, Bareskrim seized 30 kilograms of methamphetamine and arrested four suspects. “The suspects apprehended include four individuals with evidence of methamphetamine packages weighing approximately 30 kilograms, which, when converted to rupiah, is worth around Rp 54 billion,” said Brigadier General Pol Eko Hadi Santoso.

The disclosure began following community reports on Tuesday (3/2) regarding a suspicious Toyota Yaris with registration BM-1437-RZ parked for an extended period in front of a restaurant on the Palembang-Jambi Highway, Pangkalan Balai, Banyuasin.

Following up on this information, a joint team from Sub-unit IV of Bareskrim Polri, led by Commissioner Pol Handik Zusen, and the NIC Task Force, led by Commissioner Kevin Leleury, conducted an investigation at the location. During surveillance on Wednesday (4/2) at approximately 01:45 WIB, the team detected the vehicle moving from its parking spot, escorted by a black Toyota Calya with registration BG-1198-R.

The team pursued both vehicles towards Palembang via the Sumatra Highway through the Pangkalan Balai area. The pursuit continued until the vehicles reached the Rejodadi petrol station area in Sembawa, Banyuasin. The vehicles were intercepted after veering into a drainage ditch. Upon inspecting the Yaris driven by suspect Abiyu Bima Ayatullah, the team discovered three sacks, each containing packages of narcotics. “The total evidence found in the Yaris consisted of 30 packages of methamphetamine, weighing approximately 30 kilograms,” the Director added. Simultaneously, the joint team also apprehended three individuals inside the Toyota Calya: Nando Saputra, Andi Yuni Yansyah, and Ade Kurniawan.
