Case file on murder of Brigadier MN by suspect Misri declared complete
Mataram (ANTARA) – West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Criminal Investigation Director Senior Commissioner Arisandi said prosecutors had declared complete the case file against Misri Puspita Sari, a suspect in the murder of Brigadier Muhammad Nurhadi (MN).
“Yes, Misri’s file has been declared P-21 (complete by the prosecutor),” Arisandi said in Mataram on Thursday.
With the file complete, he said investigators would soon transfer the suspect and evidence to the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor’s Office.
“We are coordinating with the prosecutors on when to carry out the second stage [the transfer of the suspect and evidence],” he said.
Misri has not been detained while the case file was being completed. However, Arisandi said investigators were continuing to monitor the whereabouts of the woman described as a dating companion of I Made Yogi Purusa Utama.
“Misri is charged only under Article 221 of the Criminal Code, concerning obstruction of an investigation,” he said.
Misri was named a suspect alongside I Made Yogi Purusa Utama and Gede Aris Chandra Widianto. Yogi and Aris were Brigadier Nurhadi’s superiors and are now convicted felons.
The Supreme Court rejected the parties’ appeals, leaving the sentences imposed on Yogi and Aris, who was dismissed from the National Police, in line with the appellate court’s ruling.
The West Nusa Tenggara High Court had sentenced Yogi to 14 years in prison and Aris to three years. The panel of judges also ordered them to pay Rp385 million in restitution to the victim’s wife, Elma Agustina, based on an assessment by the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK).
