Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), through the Centre for Military Police (Puspom), has officially handed over the case file on the alleged assault against KontraS activist Andrie Yunus to the Military Audit Office (Otmil) II-07 Jakarta.

The Head of the Information Centre (Kapuspen) of TNI Headquarters, Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, stated that the investigation process has been completed and is now entering the handover stage for further legal proceedings.

“Military Police Centre investigators have completed the entire investigation process in accordance with applicable regulations. Subsequently, on Tuesday, 7 April 2026, the case file, the suspects, and evidence have been handed over to Otmil II-07 Jakarta,” Aulia said in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Aulia explained that following the handover, the Military Audit Office will examine the completeness of the file, both formally and substantively.

If deemed complete, the case will promptly be transferred to the Military Court II-08 Jakarta for trial.

Aulia emphasised that this handover is part of TNI’s commitment to enforcing the law professionally, transparently, and accountably.

He also assured that the institution will not tolerate legal violations committed by rogue soldiers.

“This demonstrates TNI’s firmness in addressing every criminal act by rogue soldiers, as well as the institution’s responsibility in maintaining public trust,” Aulia stated.

“So, now the four suspected individuals have been secured at Puspom TNI for further investigation at the investigation level,” said the Commander of Puspom TNI, Major General TNI Yusri Nuryanto, in Jakarta on Wednesday (18/3).

The four suspects now face charges under Articles 467(1) and (2) of the Criminal Code, with a maximum penalty of seven years’ imprisonment.

Yusri assured that Puspom TNI will work professionally and transparently, ensuring that all findings by TNI investigators are presented openly in court.
