Case File Complete, Murderer of Cilegon PKS Politician's Child to Stand Trial Soon

The case file for the suspect in the murder of a Cilegon PKS politician’s child has been declared complete, or P-21, by prosecutors. The file will soon be transferred to the court for trial. The investigation file submitted by the police to the Prosecutor’s Office was declared complete after a thorough review by the public prosecutor. “Based on the results of an in-depth study by the Public Prosecutor and the case exposure, the case file from the police investigator has been deemed to meet the requirements to proceed to the prosecution stage,” said Head of Intelligence at the Cilegon District Prosecutor’s Office, Nasruddin, on Tuesday (30/6/2026). Nasruddin stated that the completeness of the file is documented in the Notification of Completed Criminal Case Investigation Results, or P-21, numbered B-1687/M.6.15/Eoh.1/06/2026, dated 30 June 2026. “As a follow-up to the issuance of the P-21, the next step is the handover of the suspect and evidence (phase two handover) from the police investigation team to the Prosecutor’s Office, before ultimately being transferred to the District Court for scheduling of the trial,” he said. In this case, the suspect is charged with violating Article 458 paragraph (3) of Law No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code in conjunction with Law No. 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustments, or secondly Article 58 paragraph (3) of Law No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code in conjunction with Law No. 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustments, or thirdly Article 80 paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 76 C of Law No. 17 of 2016 concerning the Stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law No. 1 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection into Law in conjunction with Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection in conjunction with Law No. 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustments. “The Cilegon District Prosecutor’s Office officially announces the latest development regarding the handling of the alleged fatal violence case that resulted in the loss of a child’s life, which recently attracted widespread public attention (went viral) in Cilegon City, with the suspect being HA (Heru Anggara bin Kodar),” he said.
