The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced five suspects on Thursday (11/6) in connection with an alleged bribery case involving audit findings by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) on several procurements within the Muara Enim Regency Government, South Sumatra Province. Three individuals are suspected of giving bribes: Muara Enim Regent for the 2025-2030 period, Edison, and parties from PT Millenium Solusi Abadi (MSA), namely Cory Erin Hardi and Fika. Two others are suspected recipients: BPK civil servant and technical controller Titin Rita Lestari, and Augusz Dewanggara, also known as Angga, a private sector party. Angga is believed to be a trusted associate of BPK Member V, with the initials BAR. Acting Director of Investigation at the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein, stated that the suspects are being detained for an initial 20 days from 10 to 29 June 2026 at the KPK’s Red and White Building Detention Centre.

Taufik explained that in early 2026, the BPK Representative Office for South Sumatra Province conducted an audit of the Muara Enim Regency Government’s Financial Report for the 2025 Fiscal Year. The BPK audit found results exceeding the materiality threshold in the Audit Results Report (LHP) for the Muara Enim Regency Government’s finances. Subsequently, in May 2026, Edison allegedly instructed Rusdi Hairullah, the Assistant for Economy and Development, to manage the BPK audit LHP through Angga. Following this instruction, Rusdi asked Abi Nurwardani, the 2026 Secretary of the Education and Culture Office, to meet Angga via an intermediary named Mulyono. During this meeting, Abi and Angga allegedly negotiated the fee required to alter the BPK audit findings. Angga then communicated that the fee to change the audit results was approximately Rp1.6 billion, sourced from 1 percent of the infrastructure project budget ceiling or 2 percent of the procurement budget ceiling from the Muara Enim Regency Government.

After reaching an agreement, Angga allegedly prepared a team to handle the request from Abi. Angga coordinated with Titin, the civil servant and technical controller, to follow up on altering the BPK audit results. Meanwhile, Abi prepared the requested funds, including money received from Fika, a private sector party and Director of PT MSA, through Cory, a provider of a smart board project procurement within the Muara Enim Education and Culture Office. From a receipt of Rp500 million, Abi divided the distribution of money into two clusters: one in Jakarta and one in South Sumatra. Rp100 million was allocated for Angga and Rp100 million for Mulyono as the meeting intermediary in Jakarta. Around Rp300 million was handed over by Abi in South Sumatra, with a portion destined for Regent Edison. Taufik added that prior to this, Angga is also suspected of having received Rp50 million from Abi. He stressed that the KPK will conduct further tracing of the alleged money flows. During the sting operation, the KPK secured evidence including cash in rupiah, a four-wheeled vehicle, documents, and electronic evidence. This included Rp100 million in cash from Angga, Rp100 million in cash from Mulyono, and one SUV.
