Cartoons on exhibit at TIM

Cartoonist Pramono, widely known for his illustrations
published in the Sinar Harapan daily, will feature in a solo
exhibition at the Galeri Cipta II in Jakarta's Ismail Marzuki
Fine Arts Center from May 24 through June 4.

Dari Presiden Ke Presiden (From President To President)
comprises a series of cartoons of five Indonesian presidents:
Soeharto, BJ Habibie, Abdurrahman Wahid, Megawati Soekarnoputri,
and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

For years, Pramono has created numerous cartoons criticizing
the policies of the government or the political and social life
of the nation.

While his humor is often barbed, his cartoons also make people
smile.
