Carrefour back to normal

JAKARTA: The Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, outlet of French hypermarket Carrefour opened as usual on Wednesday after a bomb threat forced the hypermarket to close early on Tuesday night.

At about 8 p.m. on Tuesday, a Carrefour employee received a phone call from an anonymous caller who said a bomb would explode in the store in two hours.

The threat forced the store to close early as Carrefour security officers searched the hypermarket for anything suspicious. The officers declared the store safe at about 10:30 p.m. Kebayoran Lama Police are working to identify the caller. --JP
