Caring Friday: Metro Jaya Police Distribute 350 Staple Food Packages to Ride-Hailing Drivers

The Caring Friday event was held in front of the Polda Metro Jaya Promoter building on Friday (8/5/2026). The Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated that Caring Friday represents the Indonesian National Police’s (Polri) humane presence and a form of care for the community.

“We distributed 350 staple food packages to fellow ojol drivers. This is Polda Metro Jaya’s form of care for the community,” said Commissioner Budi in a written statement on Friday (8/5).

Furthermore, Commissioner Budi said that ojol drivers play an important role in supporting daily community activities. He hopes that the assistance will be beneficial for the recipients.

“We hope this assistance can help fellow ojol drivers and their families. Polri wants to continue to be present close to the community,” he said.

One ojol representative, Mahadewi, expressed thanks for the assistance. She stated that the staple food aid from Polda Metro Jaya is very beneficial for the Lady Ojol community.

“I express my thanks to Polda Metro Jaya for the rice assistance. This aid is very beneficial for us Lady Ojol drivers. Protect Jakarta for Indonesia,” she said.
