Car smuggler apprehended

JAMBI, Jambi: Jambi police personnel have apprehended Udin, 40, a Kualatungkal resident, who was accused of being a luxury car smuggler for the past two years.

Adj. Sr. Comr. Djoko Turrochman, the spokesman for Jambi provincial police, said on Saturday that the suspect was arrested three days earlier after he got off a ship at a seaport in Kualatungkal, some 120 kilometers west of Jambi city.

The suspect was charged with smuggling luxury cars to Jambi from Malaysia and Singapore. -- JP
