BOGOR - If you’re looking for a weekend night spot, head to the Car Free Night (CFN) along Tegar Beriman Street in Cibinong, Bogor Regency, West Java. Held as part of Bogor’s 544th Anniversary (HJB), the event will take place on Saturday, 30 May 2026, from 6pm to midnight. For six hours, Tegar Beriman Street will be transformed into a public space featuring live music, art performances, lighting displays, and local UMKM (micro, small, and medium enterprises) cuisine and products. “This CFN will serve as a consolidation of regional potential, acting as a central hub where UMKMs, artistic talents, and cultural elements from other districts can come together and showcase their offerings,” Ajat told reporters on Saturday (30 May 2026). Unlike car free day activities, which are typically associated with morning exercise, CFN offers a night-time tourism atmosphere with diverse entertainment along the road near government offices. In addition to watching art and music performances, visitors can also sample cuisine from UMKM vendors participating in the event. Lighting installations at various points are expected to enhance the experience of enjoying the night in Bogor Regency’s administrative centre. “The Skywalk will be used as the main stage for various art and entertainment performances throughout the event,” Ajat said. Additionally, the area will serve as the finish line for the HJB Run 2026, which will see 250 runners. Participants will run from Bogor City Hall to the Tegar Beriman Skywalk in a night run event. According to Ajat, the special CFN aims to boost visitor numbers to the Tegar Beriman and Gelora Pakansari areas while stimulating the local economy through UMKM participation. For visitors arriving by private vehicle, the government has allocated parking spaces at various department offices along Tegar Beriman Street. Meanwhile, the slow lane will remain in use for vehicle traffic during the CFN event. “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to road users by the CFN event. However, we have implemented various traffic management measures,” he concluded.
