Car-Free Day on Rasuna Said Road to be Held on 10 May, from 05.30 to 10.00 WIB
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will hold Hari Bebas Kendaraan Bermotor (HBKB), or Car-Free Day (CFD), on Jalan HR Rasuna Said in South Jakarta on Sunday (10/5/2026) from 05.30 to 10.00 WIB.
The Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Ujang Harmawan, stated that the CFD area covers two sides of Jalan HR Rasuna Said.
“For the eastern side of Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said, it applies to the segment from the Gembira Road intersection to the Raya Casablanca Road intersection. Meanwhile, on the western side, it applies to the segment from the Prof. Dr. Satrio Road intersection to the Setiabudi Utara Raya Road intersection,” said Ujang Harmawan in his official statement on Friday (8/5/2026).
Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid congestion.
Vehicles from the Manggarai direction heading to Tanah Abang or Karet can pass through Jalan Sultan Agung, Jalan Galunggung, Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur, to Jalan R.M. Margono Djojohadikoesoemo.
Meanwhile, vehicles from the Kampung Melayu direction heading to Tanah Abang or Karet can go via Jalan Raya Casablanca, Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio, and Jalan K.H. Mas Mansyur.
For vehicles from the Tanah Abang or Karet direction heading to Manggarai, drivers can pass through Jalan R.M. Margono Djojohadikoesoemo, Jalan Galunggung, and Jalan Sultan Agung.
Vehicles from the Kuningan direction heading to Menteng are directed via Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio, Jalan Denpasar Raya, Jalan Setiabudi, Jalan Setiabudi Utara Raya, Jalan Setiabudi Tengah, and Jalan Galunggung.
There are four parking points near the event location, consisting of 1,680 car parking spaces and 2,007 motorcycle parking spaces.
Public transport services will continue to operate during the HBKB, namely TransJakarta routes L13 (Puri Beta–Flyover Kuningan Express), 4D (Pulo Gadung–Kuningan), 6 (Ragunan–Galunggung), 6A (Ragunan–Balai Kota via Kuningan), 6B (Ragunan–Balai Kota via Semanggi), and 6H (Senen–Lebak Bulus).
“Road users are urged to avoid the affected road sections, adjust to the established traffic arrangements, obey traffic signs, follow instructions from on-site officers, and prioritise road safety,” Ujang concluded.
