Car Free Day in Jakarta on Jalan Rasuna Said Tomorrow – What Time Does It Start?
Car Free Day (CFD) will be held on Jalan Rasuna Said in South Jakarta this weekend, on Sunday (10/5/2026).
“Rasuna Said will also be prepared to become a car free day like Sudirman-Thamrin,” said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, quoted from Kompas.com on Wednesday (6/5/2026).
Currently, Pramono is expanding the CFD areas because of the high enthusiasm from the public, so that the public has more location options for CFD.
So, what time will the CFD on Jalan Rasuna Said start?
Quoted from Kompas.com on Friday (8/5/2026), the CFD on Jalan Rasuna Said will take place from 05:30 WIB to 10:00 WIB.
Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Ujang Harmawan, said that the CFD area is on two sides of Jalan HR Rasuna Said.
“For Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said on the eastern side, it applies to the segment from the Simpang Jalan Gembira intersection to the Simpang Jalan Raya Casablanca intersection. Meanwhile, on the western side, it applies to the segment from the Simpang Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio intersection to the Simpang Jalan Setiabudi Utara Raya intersection,” said Ujang.
During the CFD, the DKI Transportation Agency will carry out traffic engineering around Jalan Rasuna Said. Motorists are asked to find alternative routes to avoid congestion.
Vehicles from the Manggarai direction heading to Tanah Abang or Karet can pass through Jalan Sultan Agung, Jalan Galunggung, Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur, to Jalan R.M. Margono Djojohadikoesoemo.
Meanwhile, vehicles from the Kampung Melayu direction heading to Tanah Abang or Karet can go through Jalan Raya Casablanca, Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio, and Jalan K.H. Mas Mansyur.
For vehicles from the Tanah Abang or Karet direction heading to Manggarai, motorists can pass through Jalan R.M. Margono Djojohadikoesoemo, Jalan Galunggung, and Jalan Sultan Agung.
Vehicles from the Kuningan direction heading to Menteng are directed through Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio, Jalan Denpasar Raya, Jalan Setiabudi, Jalan Setiabudi Utara Raya, Jalan Setiabudi Tengah, and Jalan Galunggung.
Public transport services will continue to operate during the HBKB, namely Transjakarta corridor L13 (Puri Beta–Flyover Kuningan Express), 4D (Pulo Gadung–Kuningan), 6 (Ragunan–Galunggung), 6A (Ragunan–Balai Kota via Kuningan), 6B (Ragunan–Balai Kota via Semanggi), and 6H (Senen–Lebak Bulus).
In addition, the LRT Jabodebek on the Dukuh Atas–Harjamukti and Dukuh Atas–Jati Mulya routes will also continue to operate.
“Road users are urged to avoid that road section and adjust to the traffic arrangements set, obey traffic signs, follow the instructions of officers on the ground, and prioritise road safety,” said Ujang.
