Car Free Day Event in Jakarta on Jalan Rasuna Said This Morning: Check the Times and Route
Jakarta has a new location to enjoy the holiday without vehicle emissions. Hari Bebas Kendaraan Bermotor (HBKB) or Car Free Day (CFD) will take place on Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said in South Jakarta today, Sunday (10/5/2026). “(Jalan) Rasuna Said will be prepared as a car free day like (Jalan) Sudirman-Thamrin,” said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, quoted from Kompas.com, Wednesday (6/5/2026). According to Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Ujang Harmawan, the CFD area covers both sides of Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said. The eastern side applies from the Gembira Street intersection to the Raya Casablanca Street intersection. Meanwhile, the western side is also closed to motor vehicles. The closure is from the Prof. Dr. Satrio Street intersection to the Setiabudi Utara Raya Street intersection. The government is implementing traffic engineering during the event. Road users bringing private vehicles are asked to find alternative routes. Quoted from Kompas.com, Friday (8/5/2026), there are several routes that can be taken. Vehicles from the Manggarai direction to Tanah Abang can go via Sultan Agung Street, or continue to Galunggung Street and Karet Pasar Baru Timur Street. If coming from the Kampung Melayu direction, use Raya Casablanca Street, then cross Prof. Dr. Satrio Street and K.H. Mas Mansyur Street. For those heading to Menteng from Kuningan, direct vehicles to Denpasar Raya Street, then continue the journey through Setiabudi Street and Galunggung Street. There are four main parking points that can be used: Not only that, the Jabodebek LRT train can also be a practical choice to reach the CFD location. For information, Jakarta’s CFD has so far been held in Central Jakarta, specifically Jalan Jenderal Sudirman to Jalan M.H. Thamrin. This route passes through Bundaran HI.
