Car Crashes into Former Vice President Jusuf Kalla's Fence in South Jakarta
The fence of the residence belonging to Indonesia’s 10th and 12th Vice President, Jusuf Kalla (JK), was struck by a car, causing damage to the property.
Head of Public Relations at the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Kompol Murodih, explained that the incident occurred on Wednesday (18/2/2026) at approximately 03:45 Western Indonesian Time. Murodih said the driver was a woman with the initials HP, aged 35.
“We can confirm that we received information about the incident involving the collision with the residence’s fence,” Murodih said when asked for confirmation.
Murodih stated that the driver of the Hyundai Santa Fe was suspected of having fallen asleep at the wheel. He explained that the driver had already undertaken mediation and would repair the damaged fence.
“The driver was probably drowsy, which caused her to lose control. We have been informed that mediation is planned to address the repairs for the damage at the site,” Murodih said.
