Car collides with truck on the Indrapura–Kisaran Toll Road in North Sumatra, four killed
A car collided with the rear of a box-type refrigerator truck on the Indrapura–Kisaran Toll Road, at Km 136+600, in North Sumatra. Four people died, with two seriously injured and one lightly injured, according to AKBP Dhery Fajariandono, head of the PJR unit of the Ditlantas Police in North Sumatra, as reported by detikSumut on Friday, 6 March 2026.
The incident occurred around 09:00 Western Indonesian Time. The deceased were identified as Martia Siregar (48), Saiful Silitongah (40), Menten Tarigan (60), and Masnun Sihombing (70). The victims were evacuated by police to the nearest hospital. “The victims have been taken to RSU Bidadari,” he said.
The accident began when an Innova Reborn was travelling from Kisaran toward Lima Puluh in the fast lane. It then struck the rear of the box-type truck moving in the slow lane. “The driver is suspected of drowsiness, causing him to hit the rear of the truck in the slow lane,” he said.
