Car Battery Price Update for June 2026: Prices Begin to Rise

As of June 2026, car owners planning to replace their batteries may need to allocate a larger budget for certain models. Based on monitoring across several automotive retail networks, some products have experienced price increases compared to the previous month, although others remain stable.

Car batteries are a vital vehicle component, supplying the electrical current required to start the engine and power various electronic devices. Consequently, a weakening battery should be replaced promptly to avoid disrupting driving activities. Generally, car batteries are divided into two types: wet batteries and maintenance-free (MF) batteries, commonly known as dry batteries. Currently, MF batteries are more popular due to their low maintenance requirements and practicality.

For the Low Cost Green Car (LCGC), MPV, and compact SUV segments—including models such as the Toyota Avanza, Daihatsu Xenia, Toyota Rush, Honda Brio Satya, and Honda HR-V—the price of the GS Astra Hybrid NS60 (45 Ah) decreased from Rp 900,000 in May to Rp 771,000 in June 2026.

However, not all models saw a decrease. The Aspira Premium NS40Z (35 Ah) rose from Rp 1,001,000 to Rp 1,022,000, as did the Aspira NS60L (45 Ah), which increased from Rp 1,074,000 to Rp 1,096,000.

In the MPV and hatchback segment, which includes the Mitsubishi Xpander, Suzuki Ertiga, Nissan Livina, Honda Jazz, and Toyota Yaris, the price of the Incoe MF NS60LS (45 Ah) dropped significantly from Rp 1,135,000 to Rp 1,006,000. Meanwhile, the GS Astra NS60L HY rose from Rp 918,000 to Rp 936,000, while the Aspira MF NS60/46B20R fell from Rp 1,074,000 to Rp 1,022,000.

For diesel vehicles and ladder-frame SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Toyota Hilux, and Nissan Terra, most products experienced price hikes. For instance, the Amaron HiLife 55B24R (45 Ah) rose from Rp 1,210,000 to Rp 1,295,000, and the Aspira Premium N70Z (75 Ah) increased from Rp 1,329,000 to Rp 1,364,000. The GS Astra MF 55B24LS also climbed from Rp 1,389,000 to Rp 1,417,000, while the GS Astra Premium N70Z remained steady at Rp 1,663,000.

Price increases were also noted in the premium MPV segment, which includes the Toyota Alphard, Nissan Serena, Kia Carnival, and Honda Odyssey. The GS Astra Calcium 75D23L rose from Rp 1,835,000 to Rp 1,872,000, and the Incoe MF NS70/65D26R surged from Rp 1,109,000 to Rp 1,452,000. Conversely, some types saw price reductions, such as the GS Astra Hybrid NS70 (65 Ah), which dropped from Rp 1,214,000 to Rp 1,089,000.
