Capital punishment for drug dealers

Capital punishment for drug dealers

From Media Indonesia

The conditions in Indonesia remain uncertain and the most
disturbing ones have been caused by drug circulation, counterfeit
money and the problem of bad credit. Meanwhile, the legal system
in Indonesia has dropped to its most worrying level. To solve all
problems, law enforcers should have a resolute attitude for
repairing their fractured image. To this end, capital punishment
for convicted drug dealers and/or counterfeiters, and exile for
bad debtors who are late in repaying debts would restore legal
authority.

Capital punishment for drug dealers and/or counterfeiters is
an appropriate measure and it would create a more conducive
atmosphere. It is quite natural to punish convicted wrongdoers
with this punishment as they threaten the loss of a generation
and damage the state economy. And the punishment could be
lessened if the convicted persons are willing to reveal who the
masterminds are and are prepared to be witnesses in court.

Exile as a punishment for bad debtors is a natural recourse
considering that it was them who caused the ruin of this nation's
economy. If they were exiled to Buru island or Nusakambangan,
they would know how those who are suffering feel as a result of
their misdeeds. The punishment could be lessened if they were
willing to report their assets and cronies who are also enjoying
the wealth, and to quickly repay their debts.

With the threat of stiff punishment people will feel more
secure and law supremacy will soon be restored.
