PT Korea Investment And Sekuritas Indonesia (KISI) has recorded significant operational performance growth throughout the first eight months of 2026. As of the end of August 2026, the number of KISI’s stock securities accounts jumped by 49.2% to 96,327 accounts, compared to 64,557 accounts at the end of last year.

Between January and August 2026, KISI successfully added 31,770 new Opening Accounts (OA). This achievement accounts for approximately 2.1% of the total national increase in new stock investors (SID), which reached 1.53 million investors, while securing a 1% market share. Rapid growth was also recorded in the bond segment; KISI’s cumulative bond transaction value as of August 2/026 soared by 128% compared to the same period last year, with its market share in primary corporate bonds rising to 1.8%.

KISI President Director, Kyoung Hun Nam, stated that this performance increase aligns with the company’s commitment to expanding financial inclusion and bridging capital from South Korea to Indonesia’s financial markets and infrastructure.

“KISI plays a role in expanding the Indonesian investor base while connecting Korean capital with Indonesian bonds and infrastructure. We will continue to contribute to the development of the Indonesian capital market through financial education, structured products, and infrastructure investment advisory services,” Kyoung Hun Nam said in an official statement.

To support ease of investing, KISI launched the AI Sentiment Score feature on its iKISI application. This feature summarises issuer news and displays market sentiment indicators to assist investor analysis. Additionally, KISI has enriched its mutual fund portfolio by introducing 13 products from PT Sucorinvest Asset Management, bringing the total mutual fund options on the iKISI platform to 91 products from 15 Investment Managers.

In terms of regional education and financing, KISI is actively exploring collaborations with local governments. In August 2026, KISI met with the West Sumatra Provincial Government to discuss KISI’s preparations to act as an underwriter for the planned issuance of Regional Sukuk in 2027. KISI also provided training on international Municipal Bond practices to the West Sumatra Provincial Government’s Debt Management Unit (DMU).

Capital Market School (SPM) programmes and financial literacy initiatives for civil servants (ASN) and the general public have also been aggressively organised across various regions, including North Sumatra (Serdang Bedagai, Mandailing Natal, Binjai), Bangka Belitung (Bangka Tengah, Belitung Timur, Bangka Selatan), Aceh (Nagan Raya), and Kulon Progo.

Within its Investment Banking (IB) division, KISI has established a track record in facilitating strategic transactions. The company handled the issuance of Kimchi Bonds totalling USD 205 million for a subsidiary of the APP Group. In the infrastructure sector, KISI acted as the investment advisor for a data centre project (SMX01) in Kuningan, Jakarta, a collaboration between Korea Investment Real Asset Management (KIRA) and SM+, which is scheduled for completion in November 2026.

KISI’s financial performance in the first half of 2026 also recorded positive results. Brokerage commission income grew by 87% year-on-year, while interest income from financing rose by 39%. Entering the second half of 2026, KISI aims to serve as an underwriter for corporate bonds and Medium Term Notes (MTN) with a target value of approximately Rp2 trillion gradually by the end of the year.
