The Cannes Film Festival 2026 is once again filled with luxury, glamorous gowns, and a parade of world-famous stars. But behind the glamour of the red carpet, an influencer has shared another side of Cannes that the public seldom sees. According to NDTV on 16 May 2026, beauty and wellness influencer Tarini Peshawaria revealed her personal experience attending Cannes in a video posted on Instagram. Tarini said not all photographers at Cannes automatically photograph guests who arrive on the red carpet. ‘Not every photographer is there to shoot you. They don’t even know you,’ she said. She revealed that certain guests must pay photographers if they want professional documentation while on the red carpet. ‘You do have to pay photographers to take photos. I paid 400 euros for seven videos and seven photos,’ she said. The amount was equivalent to about Rp 44.5 million. She added that the red carpet sessions are very quick. ‘The red carpet truly lasts only one to two minutes, and each red carpet is not always the same,’ she said. She explained that high-profile stars like Aishwarya Rai can receive full attention in the red carpet area. Meanwhile, when Hollywood actor Tom Cruise arrives, other guests are reportedly barred from entering the red carpet area for several minutes. She noted that hotel room prices in the area can reach around Rp 200 million to Rp 300 million per night. However, Tarini said she was able to stay there because the trip was sponsored by L’Oréal Paris.
