Cannabis field found in Banjarnegara

PURWOKERTO, Central Java: The Banjarnegara Police Precinct
seized several marijuana trees planted between Zalacca palm trees
in Sered Village, Maducara Subdistrict on Tuesday.

Adj. Sr. Comr. Winarno, chief of the Bandjarnegara Police
Precinct, said that in addition to seizing a total of 17 cannabis
trees from the village, the Police also arrested Aji S., the
suspected owner of the illegal plants.

He said Aji has admitted buying marijuana seeds for Rp 40,000
(US$4) from an unidentified person in the city.

"The Police will extend their operations to other areas to
fight against narcotics trafficking in the regency," he said.
