Canadians to dance here

JAKARTA (JP): Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal, a Canadian ballet group lead by Genevieve Salbaing, will perform at Jakarta's Gedung Kesenian between April 7 and April 9.

The group, founded in 1972, combines ballet dances with jazz music to produce an unusual form of ballet.

During its upcoming third visit to Indonesia, Les Ballets, which has performed in more than 50 countries, will perform new choreographic numbers, including those entitled Ghosts, Rise and Fall, and Fungus Amongus.

Tickets, available at Gedung Kesenian's ticket box, cost Rp 40,000 (about US$18) and Rp 50,000 ($23). (als)
