Canadian mission due here
JAKARTA (JP): A trade mission on building and construction from the Canadian province of Ontario is expected to arrive here on Sept. 20 for a five-day visit.
The Canadian Embassy announced yesterday that the mission, sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, will meet with major Indonesian property developers and contractors to look for possible collaborations.
The mission includes nine companies specializing in construction techniques, architectural design, architectural services, wooden doors, interior and exterior architectural moldings, concrete wall form systems, prefabricated housing systems and pavement repair technology.
According to the embassy, the two way trade between Indonesia and Canada is expected to exceed C$ 1 billion (US$738.9 million) this year. The current Canadian investment in Indonesia is approximately C$3.5 billion. (05)
