TEMPO Interactive, Makassar, South Sulawesi:The Canadian government is exploring the possibility of cooperating with the South Sulawesi administration. "We heard about plans to build infrastructure in South Sulawesi. We have identified this opportunity and the Canadian government will follow it up," said Richard Bale, Senior Trade Commissioner from the Canadian Embassy to Indonesia, during a press conference at the Aryaduta Hotel, on Friday.

During the 60th anniversary of Canada-Indonesia bilateral relations celebrated in Makassar on Feb. 1-Feb. 2, the Canadian government brought 10 representatives from companies in Canada looking to engage in the infrastructure sector. These companies will work together with the South Sulawesi"s offices of the Indonesian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Kadin).

The Canadian companies on Thursday have conducted a meeting with representatives from Kadin during a business seminar at the Aryaduta Hotel. "This initiative will strengthen the existing partnership and help Canadian and Indonesian companies to find new business opportunities," said Mackenzie Clugston, Canadian Ambassador to Indonesia.
