Canadian Embassy moves to WTC
JAKARTA: The Canadian Embassy will occupy its new premises on the sixth floor of the World Trade Center building on Jl. Jend. Sudirman, Central Jakarta, on Monday.
The embassy is moving from the Metropolitan I building, which is located just in front of the new building.
Canada initiated diplomatic ties with Indonesia in 1949 and the countries decided to exchange ambassadors three years later.
Its first office here was located on Jl. Budi Kemuliaan, where one of the offices of the Ministry of Defense is now located. In 1976 it moved to Metropolitan I.--JP
