Canada warns of 'threat' in RI
CANADA: Canada warned on Sunday of a "credible terrorist threat"
to western interests in Indonesia's South Sulawesi province, and
advised its citizens to avoid the area.
Ottawa followed the recent lead of the United States and
Australia in warning of possible threats in various parts of
Indonesia.
"There is a credible terrorist threat to western interests in
South Sulawesi Province," the Canadian Foreign Ministry said in a
travel advisory.
"Canadians should not travel to this area until further
notice. Canadians already in this area should depart."
In line with advice by other governments to citizens in
Indonesia, the advisory warned Canadians they should consider
avoiding hotels, clubs, restaurants, bars, schools and places of
worship. --AFP
