Canada to hold seminar
JAKARTA (JP): About 30 Canadian government officials and private sector representatives will participate in a seminar at the World Trade Center in Surabaya, East Java, on Wednesday to look for business opportunities with Indonesian partners.
The Canadian embassy announced on Friday that the one-day seminar will feature presentations on Indonesia-Canada business and commercial relations, as well as various workshops directed at examining the prospects of infrastructure development and environmental technologies.
Canadian Ambassador to Indonesia Lawrence T. Dickinson said recently that the two countries' bilateral trade is expected to exceed US$2.25 billion) this year.
The seminar is sponsored by the Canadian embassy, the East Java chapter of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and the Indonesia-Canada Business Council. (hdj)
