Campus-Industry Collaboration Strengthened to Prepare Digital Talent
The acceleration of digital transformation across various sectors is currently triggering a surge in demand for talent that is not only academically excellent but also ready to enter the workforce. Responding to this challenge, Exabytes Indonesia has officially entered into a strategic collaboration with Universitas Ciputra Surabaya to narrow the competency gap between university graduates and the needs of the technology industry. This partnership was formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) valid for five years. The partnership is designed to create an ecosystem that connects the academic world with real practice in the digital industry on an ongoing basis. The collaboration between Exabytes Indonesia and Universitas Ciputra Surabaya covers four main areas aimed at enriching the student learning experience. VP & Country Manager of Exabytes Indonesia, Indra Hartawan, emphasised that education is the main foundation for the growth of the digital ecosystem. “Through this collaboration, we want to ensure students are ready to face the real demands of the digital world. This is a manifestation of our mission to help more individuals in Indonesia to GROW Digital,” said Indra. Prior to the inauguration of this MoU, both parties had already initiated synergy through the Exabytes Developer Club event on 16 July 2026. Titled “Reimagining Web Development in the Age of AI Agents”, the event held at Integrity Hall, Universitas Ciputra, featured experts discussing artificial intelligence (AI) and web development. The activity also involved various technology communities such as PasukanDev, Surabaya.py, WordPress Surabaya (WPSBY), and SurabayaJS. This step reinforces Exabytes’ commitment to building an inclusive digital talent network. In addition to Universitas Ciputra, Exabytes has previously established similar partnerships with Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani (Unjani) and Cyber University. Indra stated that the company will continue to expand the reach of collaboration to various regions as a long-term investment in Indonesia’s human resources. With internship programmes, industry-based learning, and career mentoring, this collaboration is expected to produce graduates who are relevant to market needs, while supporting the increasingly massive acceleration of national digital transformation.
