Campus Confirms Student Who Stabbed Fellow Student at UIN Suska Riau Will Be Expelled
The UIN Suska Riau campus administration has responded to the stabbing incident involving female student Faradilla Ayu Pramesti. The campus has confirmed that the perpetrator, Raihan Mufazzar, will be dismissed from the institution.
“We have already formed an ethics committee. Regarding legal matters, we will leave this to the police,” said Magfirah Ibu Abu Bakar, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law at UIN Suska Riau.
The Dean stated that a decision regarding Raihan’s student status will be made in the near future, following the completion of the ethics committee’s assessment. She noted that the act of stabbing a fellow student on campus constitutes a serious violation.
“The campus has its own code of ethics committee. Looking at the case, this is indeed a serious offence. The committee is currently working and the final recommendation is likely to be suspension or dismissal,” said Magfirah.
The Dean stated that the perpetrator’s actions have damaged the campus’s reputation and were carried out with extreme cruelty. She emphasised that whilst waiting for the independent ethics committee’s decision, the evidence is clear, and a decision should be reached within a maximum of one month, as there are no matters requiring clarification.
The legal aspect of the case has been referred to police authorities for further action.
