Pertamina has announced there will be no adjustments to the prices of Fuel Oil (BBM), whether non-subsidised or subsidised, as per government policy directives.

“Pertamina is ready to implement the government’s policy in maintaining national economic stability amid the global energy crisis,” said Pertamina’s Vice President of Corporate Communication, Muhammad Baron, to ANTARA when contacted from Jakarta on Tuesday (31/3).

Baron conveyed that Pertamina’s primary priority at present is to provide energy and optimise the supply chain to distribute energy throughout the country.

“The role and support of the public is greatly needed by remaining calm and using energy wisely,” he said.

Furthermore, Pertamina Patra Niaga, as a business entity in the downstream energy sector, is undertaking various strategic measures to ensure optimal energy distribution across all regions.

These efforts are being carried out through strengthened coordination and negotiations with suppliers, as well as optimisation of the distribution system to keep supplies safe and available for the public.

Pertamina Patra Niaga also emphasised that it will continue to make maximum efforts in facing existing dynamics, prioritising service reliability and the continuity of national energy distribution.

Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Corporate Secretary, Roberth MV Dumatubun, stated that Pertamina Patra Niaga always implements government policies, including in the determination of BBM prices.

On the other hand, various strategic efforts are also being undertaken, such as negotiations with suppliers and distribution optimisation to ensure energy availability remains maintained for the public.

“We also urge the public to use energy wisely according to needs and not to be influenced by information that could trigger panic buying,” said Roberth.

In addition, the public is expected not to be easily swayed by unverified information that has the potential to cause panic or panic buying. Active public participation in maintaining reasonable consumption will greatly assist the smooth distribution of energy in the field.

Through synergy between the Government, Security Apparatus, and the public, it is hoped that national energy availability can continue to be maintained optimally to support public activities and economic growth in Indonesia.
