Jakarta (ANTARA) — Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, better known as Cak Imin, chairman of the central board of the National Awakening Party (PKB), has called on all regional heads from PKB to refrain from engaging in behaviour that poses risks and leads to corruption.

“Never get caught up in things that are dangerous and lead to corruption,” Cak Imin stated at the PKB central board office in Jakarta on Sunday.

Cak Imin made this statement following the implication of Cilacap Regent and PKB cadre Syamsul Auliya Rachman as a suspect in an alleged corruption case involving extortion.

On 13 March 2026, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced its ninth hand-catching operation of 2026, which was also the third operation during Ramadhan. The operation apprehended Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman and 26 others, seizing cash in rupiah.

On 14 March 2026, the KPK declared Syamsul Auliya Rachman and Cilacap Regional Secretary Sadmoko Danardoo as suspects in an alleged case of extortion and receiving improper benefits within the Cilacap Regency government, East Java, for the financial year 2025-2026.

Syamsul Auliya had targeted obtaining Rp750 million from the extortion scheme, which was to be divided into Rp515 million for holiday allowances for the Cilacap Regency Regional Leaders Communications Forum (Forkopimda), with the remainder for personal use. However, he had only secured Rp610 million before being apprehended by the KPK.
