Cak Imin Urges GBK Area to Expand Access for SMEs: At Least 30%
Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment (PM) Muhaimin Iskandar, better known as Cak Imin, closed the Jejak Jajanan Kuliner (JJN) 2026 event at the Gelora Bung Karno Complex (GBK) in Central Jakarta. He said that going forward this UMKM event would be routinely held at state-owned public facilities.
“GBK is a public space that remains very open, aside from being leased for profit by GBK, and I believe at least 30% should be set aside to be access for UMKM so that they can participate,” Cak Imin said during the JJN event at GBK on Sunday, 8 March 2026.
He promised that UMKM would have access to activities in various public facilities. The land would be used in the form of community service.
“Thus, public facilities owned by the state or owned by state-owned enterprises (BUMN) should be set aside 30% for UMKM activities as a form of community service,” he added.
He went on to say that Jejak Jajanan Nusantara had drawn strong support from many participants, with the SMEs taking part being very enthusiastic.
“Second, this is a collaboration that can serve as a better example, a collaboration between BUMN, the central government, then small and medium enterprises, and productive homemakers,” he said.
He argued that the event would serve as a model for similar activities in various regions. Next, the Coordinating Ministry for PM would run this activity in Aceh.
“Next week Aceh is already getting underway, and generally Java is also starting to get underway,” he said.
