Cak Imin Urges All Political Parties to Support Prabowonomics

Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, popularly known as Cak Imin, chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) executive board, has invited all political parties in Indonesia to support the new economic direction championed by President Prabowo Subianto, which PKB has termed “Prabowonomics”.

Speaking in the Gelora Bung Karno area of Jakarta on Sunday, Cak Imin said he was urging all political parties to review and revise 108 laws in order to make “Prabowonomics” a success.

“I will keep appealing to all sides, inviting all parties — let us make this constitutional economy, or ‘Prabowonomics’, a success by amending 108 laws,” he said.

He added that a number of other legal products considered to conflict with the spirit of constitution-based economic development also need to be reviewed and revised.

He further said that well-targeted budgetary politics must be strengthened to ensure the success of “Prabowonomics”.

According to him, the state budget (APBN) should be directed more towards programmes whose benefits can be felt directly by the public.

Such programmes, he said, could include building bridges for schoolchildren in remote areas, accelerating the rehabilitation of educational facilities, and strengthening community entrepreneurship, as priorities for the use of the state budget.
