The programme, he said, is accompanied by guidance, assistance, and training. The main targets of this programme are graduates of vocational secondary schools (SMK) from decile 1 groups or areas with the highest poverty rates.

His side is targeting 500,000 graduates to participate in the SMK Go Global programme by 2029.

“By 2029, it will be 500,000,” he said.

Cak Imin added that a number of countries that have collaborated in the programme include Japan, Korea, the Middle East region, the United States, as well as countries in Western Europe and Eastern Europe.

The SMK Go Global programme is one of the special attentions of President Prabowo Subianto, which was directly instructed to the Ministry of Coordinating for Community Empowerment following the cabinet inauguration on 5 November 2024.

It is known that Muhaimin arrived at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta to attend a limited meeting with President Prabowo Subianto.

In the limited meeting, Cak Imin will report on a number of work programmes, from poverty alleviation to job creation.

“Today I will report all my responsibilities as Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment, starting from addressing poverty, empowerment programmes, job creation targets, and increasing MSME productivity,” he said.

Cak Imin conveyed that the government continues to promote community empowerment activities through the 1,001 people’s market points programme to help MSME actors gain more vibrant markets.

In addition, he said, the government is also distributing training subsidies and expanding access to capital for MSMEs.

He stated that the distribution of People’s Business Credit (KUR) continues to increase and will continue to be enhanced. In the near future, 1,000 MSME actors in Bali will receive KUR.

“Alhamdulillah, KUR continues to increase and we will continue to enhance KUR for our MSMEs. Tomorrow morning, 1,000 MSMEs will receive KUR in Bali,” he said.
